![]() Other rooms/areas, which were not depicted in the films at all, are recreated from the books - such as the Deathday Ballroom and Astronomy Classroom. The courtyards are also carbon-copied from the movies. Many of the classrooms are ripped right from the movies (the classrooms actually shown in the movies), especially the DADA Classroom and Potions classroom. The Grand Staircase, for example, is more book accurate than what we saw in the movies (square staircase inside a round tower - which is bonkers.) ![]() ![]() It's a blend of the books and the various films (the castle is different in pretty much every film). Pretty big one, the Herbology greenhouses are basically part of the castle, where they definitely needed to be accessed from the grounds in the books. There's an achievement for reaching the highest point, part of the headmaster's study, but the astronomy tower is the tallest tower in Hogwarts. The room of requirement is right near the top (seventh floor) opposite the tapestry of dancing trolls which is accurate, but afaik Gryffindor common room is on the same floor where it's much lower in-game. Nothing about the grand staircase is really all that grand in legacy, and while it has fancy animations it pretty consistently goes to 3 floors. That said the castle setup is much less clear on what floor is where, it's much more divided towers. Growing up I binged the games a lot so a lot of my memories of where things are is probably tainted by them.Ĭharms class is above DADA, where in all previous things Charms is the second floor, DADA is the third. ![]()
